Rev. Mark J. Norris

Mark was born and raise in West Omaha, a fourth generation Omahan.   He attended Creighton Prep High School and Graduated from Creighton University with a BA in Philosophy.   Discerning a vocation to God's ministry in 1982 he joined a Benedictine monastery in New Mexico where he served as a retreat leader, the Director of The School for Spiritual Directors, Vocations Director and Prior of the Abbey.   During this time Mark received a Masters in Theology from St. John's University and was ordained to the priesthood in 1995.   With changes occurring at the monastery and in the Roman Catholic Church, Mark felt called to the Anglican Communion and spent a year in Anglican Studies at the Episcopal Theological Seminary of the Southwest.   Fr. Mark is an avid sports fan, particularly supporting Creighton and the Huskers, he enjoys nature - bird watching, star gazing and discovering new places in Nebraska. He also has a hobby of photography and maintains a personal website: Coyote Blues and recently has developed an addiction to Su Doku.
